The Journey
‘In the distance a tiny light
Breaks through the darkness,
Showing me the path
Guiding me the right way.’
A journey starts with a beginning
After experiencing bereavement, I felt lost. During this time, I was feeling overwhelmed, stressed and anxious. I decided to explore meditation to calm my busy mind. It revealed to me that there was more to life and that there were different ways of being and living.
However, it took a few years for it to take root. I traveled to India not knowing where it would take me or the paths I would later follow. During my travels there I discovered the power of meditation in various forms. In this time, I made the conscious choice to make it a daily practice.
The roots of meditation started to grow.
Since my time in India, I have made meditation a daily practice. It supports me to feel grounded, connected to my inner guide, align myself in my centre and find moments of inner calm in my everyday life.
My journey led me to different practices, ones that I never knew could be meditative. I realised I could combine my love of dance into movement meditation, have mindful practices that teach me to be present when walking, eating or simply drinking a cup of tea.
Moments of Calmness and Clarity
Meditation is a tool, a practice, a way to be present in everyday moments. It is a moment that can connect us back to ourselves. With this it can bring a sense of calmness, clarity and enjoyment.
It can bring a sense of calm to a busy mind; Meditation supports you to realise that you have a choice in the way you live your life. It can lead you to accept what is present in that moment rather than trying to control it. Bringing you back a sense of stability and enjoy the simple things in life again.
Coaching can provide the tools for you to look at the how, what, when, where and who in your life. Coaching techniques are an approach to support you, to discover what you would like to get out of meditation, your life. By using these you can reflect to yourself your own inner knowledge and how you can apply it in your everyday life.
Embodiment, movement and dance enable you to return to your body. Allowing you to connect deeply with your emotions, sensations and feelings within you. By allowing yourself to express and move through this you can learn to change, transform and flow through life.
By using embodiment, you can connect with your centre and get out of your busy mind. Allowing you to make the decisions that are right for you. Listening to your embodied ‘yes’ and ‘no’.
Combining coaching techniques and embodiment with meditation you can connect more deeply with yourself. Providing you with more moments of calm, clarity and enjoyment.
You’re on the right path
Your journey starts with a beginning.
Sometimes life takes over, we can feel overwhelmed, stressed or anxious. We can feel pulled in different directions and find that we have lost ourselves. Feelings of low self-esteem, self-worth and self-doubt can start to take over. The things that once brought us joy can be pushed aside and forgotten.
However, there is more to life, there are different ways of being and living. Give yourself permission to choose a life in which you get to thrive. Allow yourself time for the things, the people, the activities, the events of life that fill you up with joy, that light you up, that make you feel alive.
With meditation, coaching and embodiment it can take you on a path to connect with your inner guide, find your centre and make time for inner moments of calm, clarity and enjoyment in your everyday life.
